Nigel Wheeler is a North West London based guitarist/songwriter with over 20 years playing experience.

He works in and around the London area as a professional guitarist and has been teaching private students guitar/bass for over 12 years. Amongst the artists that he has played and recorded with are members of Jamiroquai, The Annie Lennox Band, The Yardbirds, Atomic Rooster, The Funky Lowlives. He has also played on a variety of sessions for tv and radio.

As a guitar and bass tutor Nigel has taught over 200 students and currently runs a series of popular 10 week guitar courses for beginner and intermediate levels. He is also writing an accompanying book for these courses which he is aiming to have released later this year.

Nigel is an extremely accomplished guitarist and is able to play within any musical situation be it rock, funk, bluegrass, country, jazz, gypsy swing, acoustic fingerstyle or classical.

Early influences were classic rock guitarists Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Brian May and modern rock players such as Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Richie Kotzen. He soon started listening to a broader range of music and became influenced by other guitar luminaries such as Django Reinhardt, Tal Farlow, Joe Pass, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, George Benson, Albert Lee, Jerry Reed and Bireli Lagrene to name only a few.
